A notable moment during the victory speech of Barack Obama: The new American president says that he owes his victory to his health plan and mentions before the story of the 8-year-old Erin Potter, a girl that has been fighting against leukemia. The girl received a bone marrow transplant thanks Obamacare.
Erin Potter from Ohio was at the age of three to hear that she had leukemia. After an intense chemotherapy she was 19 months leukemia free, but then relapsed Erin. Thanks to the Obama health plan, known as Obamacare, the small Erin got a bone marrow transplant. Obama mentioned the story as follows in his victory speech:
"A few days ago I saw in Ohio how the costs for the treatment of leukemia in a young girl's family almost ruined. We had a few months ago no health plan approved, were the insurance companies stopped paying for her healing. I got the chance to talk with her family and the girl meet. I was moved, and the people who had heard her story too. Because anyone can imagine that that little chihayafuru manga girl also his. Any American would make her a good future would give. For so are Americans. That's the people that I want to lead as president.
