In The Amazing Spider-Man, cj michalski we follow the young, insecure and awkward Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) who tries to find his place in the world and information about their dead parents. In his quest for the truth, he meets the beautiful Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and may one day force he had never dreamed of. Now, Peter Parker facing completely different choices and with the evil Lizard (Rhys Ifans) around the corner is also Peter's future at risk.
The Amazing Spider-Man is based more on the comic strip than the earlier films as demonstrated for example by intro music with tracks from the cartoon version's intro, spider sense, cartridges for spider web, the look of the characters and Gwen Stacy who came before Mary Jane Watson in the cartoon version.
Andrew Garfield makes a fabulous acting effort in his role as Peter Parker and I want to applaud director Marc Webb for a fantastic set-up in a movie where we can see the mistakes we all make when we learn something new, that heroes are not invincible and that girls in the movies do not always have to do stupid choices and become victims. It was a long time since I saw a movie that was not only unpredictable but also made me marvel and smile for weeks afterwards. This is a movie I will see again and again and I can not wait for the exciting sequel in the trilogy coming 2014th
